Lori Fields is a trained fine artist who has developed a deep passion for the graphic arts. This passion has grown into more than nine years of experience of her communicating with clients about their visual concepts and assisting them in revealing realistic solutions.
She has a strong belief in traditional learning. She takes her fine arts background of painting on canvas and sculpting from clay to an entirely different medium. The computer.
"I believe that no matter what medium that you work in, you must have the core concepts of color theory, balance, two and three-dimension design, etc. These principles were developed a long time ago and it is essential for all types of art and design today."
Having received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Bowie State University, she continued her education at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD. At MICA she received her Advanced Graphic Design certificate. She became a senior graphic designer for a non-profit in Alexandria, VA for over six years. During that period, she realized the high demand for print graphic designers with experience in Web. She then enrolled at Anne Arundel Community College to complete her certificate in Publications on the Internet.
"Yes, I am also a professional student. I love learning and I feel that this profession is constantly changing with technology and there will always be a need to keep up. Even with me fulfilling the industry need of print designers with Web design skills, I can also see myself earning a certificate in programming and JavaScript."
"I deeply enjoy my work and it’s my goal to make sure I make every experience that I have with a client as unsurpassed to any other experience that they have had previously."
